AI phone receptionist for restaurants, spas & hospitality

Never miss another order, booking, or guest.

Wepickup answers your business line, takes the order or the booking using your own menu, services and availability, and writes the result into a workspace your team can act on.

Free plan, no card required. 20 AI-answered calls a month.

Two ways to start: take orders if the phone brings you food orders, or manage bookings and guest calls if it brings you appointments. Pick your path below.

Harbour Kitchen

19:42 on a Friday. Both staff on the pass. The phone rings for the fourth time in ten minutes.

  1. Wepickup

Good evening, Harbour Kitchen. How can I help?

  2. Caller

Hi — can I get two chicken katsu and a side of edamame for collection?

  3. Wepickup

Two chicken katsu and one edamame. The katsu is £13.50 each and edamame is £4.50 — £31.50 in total.

Built for busy service teams

One line, answered the same way every time

Wepickup is in daily use on real restaurant and spa phone lines. We do not publish customer names, logos or performance figures on this page until those customers have approved them, so here is what the platform itself does instead.

Answers inbound calls

Every call is picked up, including during service and after you close.

Uses your real data

Menu items, services, prices, hours and written policies — never invented on the spot.

Produces a record

An order, a booking, a transfer or a message — with the transcript attached.

Hands over to people

When a caller needs someone, the call goes to the number you nominate.

Why it matters

The phone rings at exactly the wrong moment

A missed call is not a missed conversation. It is an order that went to the takeaway down the road, or a treatment slot that stayed empty because nobody could pick up.

Nobody is free to answer

During service, everyone who could answer the phone is doing something a customer is already waiting for.

Answering costs you twice

Stopping to take a call slows the work in front of you, and taking it in a hurry is how orders get written down wrong.

After hours, the line is dead

People ring when they think of it — often after you have closed. Without an answer, they ring somebody else.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs

Setup is self-serve. Nothing here needs an engineer or an integration project.

  1. 1

Connect a number and your data

Take a new number in the dashboard or verify the one you already advertise, then import your menu or add your service list and opening hours.

  2. 2

    Wepickup answers and acts

It greets the caller, checks your catalog, availability and written rules, and captures the order or booking — or transfers the call when a person is needed.

  3. 3

Your team works from the result

The order, booking or message appears in the workspace with the caller's details and the transcript. The customer gets one written confirmation.

Choose your path

Two operations, one front desk

Order-led and booking-led businesses need different things from a phone call. The assistant is configured around whichever one you run.

Take orders

For restaurants, takeaways and cafés where the phone brings in food orders.

  • Multi-item orders captured with options and quantities
  • Prices read from your catalog, so nothing is misquoted
  • Delivery fees and range from the rules you configure
  • Collection times and menu questions answered consistently
  • One confirmation text per call, with the order in your workspace

Manage bookings & guest calls

For spas, salons, wellness studios and hospitality teams whose phone brings in appointments.

  • Bookings captured against your real availability
  • The next free slot offered when the requested one is gone
  • Treatment durations, prices and prep notes from your service list
  • Cancellation, arrival and policy questions answered from your rules
  • The booking held in the calendar with the guest’s details attached

What both share

The parts that do not change

Whichever path you are on, the assistant works from data you control and leaves a record you can check.

It answers from your business, not from guesswork

Menu items, services, opening hours, delivery rules and written policies all live in your workspace. The assistant reads them during the call, which is why a price it quotes is a price you set.

When something is not covered, it does not improvise. It says it does not know, then offers to take a message or put the caller through.

Every call leaves something behind

Calls are listed with their length, the outcome they produced and the full transcript. You can check what was said on any call without asking anyone to remember it.

Orders, bookings and customers build up in the same workspace, so a regular caller is recognised rather than starting from scratch.

Guest-facing teams keep their rhythm

Nobody has to leave a treatment room or the pass. The assistant handles the routine call and puts through only the ones that genuinely need a person.

Bookings land in the diary with the guest’s notes, so the team sees what is coming without a handover conversation.

FAQ

What owners ask first

Is it really free to start?

Yes. The Free plan costs nothing, needs no card, and includes your own phone number with 20 AI-answered calls and 50 messages a month. You move to a paid plan only when you outgrow that.

Can it quote something we do not sell?

No. Prices and items are read from your catalog at the moment they are needed. Mark an item unavailable and it stops being offered on the next call. If a question is not covered by your catalog or your written rules, the assistant says so and offers to take a message or transfer the call.

Do I keep my phone number?

You can take a new number in the dashboard in a few minutes, or verify the number you already advertise and route it to Wepickup. Both paths are self-serve.

What happens when a caller needs a person?

You nominate a transfer number in your in-call settings. When the caller asks for a human, or the assistant reaches the edge of what it is allowed to answer, the call is transferred and the request is logged.

Does it work on WhatsApp?

Not yet. The WhatsApp workspace is built but still going through Meta's validation, so it is not part of what you buy today. Everything on this site describes the phone line.

What do I have to set up before it is useful?

A number, your opening hours, and either your menu or your service list. Delivery rules, a knowledge base, payment links and calendar sync are optional and can be added later.

Stop letting the phone ring out.

Connect a number, import your menu or service list, and hear how your line is answered from the next call onwards.
